Science: Physics
Grades
10th-12th
This 90 minute class will cover your teen's core science for the year and can be counted as one science credit for high school. In this course, students will be able to relate velocity, acceleration, time, and displacement, use mathematical equations for one-dimensional motion, understand and apply Newton’s Laws, and see the strong connection between math and science. Using Apologia's Exploring Creation with Physics Textbook, 2nd Edition, students will cover vector analysis, Newton's laws, work and energy, waves, magnetism, electrodynamics, and more. This class is designed for students who have completed algebra and geometry and have had an introduction to the definitions of sine, cosine, and tangent. The teacher will provide grades throughout the semester and a final grade in December and May.
