

World History I (MAP)
Grades
9th-12th
World History I will cover creation through the 1620s. The course is presented from a Christian perspective, beginning with how history is formed, methods of archaeology, dating, geology, the evolution/creation debate, and the written record. Following units will cover early civilizations and kingdoms, classical Greece, Rome, Christianity, African history, the early Middle Ages, the development of European nations, the Far East, Pre-Columbian America, the Renaissance, and the Reformation. Weekly reading and questions will be assigned. The class will also include projects, including the Living Wax Museum, that will help students dig deeper into areas that they are interested in learning more about.
The teacher will provide grades and feedback throughout the year with final grades in December and May.
