This class explores some of the basic skills needed to perform with an ensemble. We'll learn how to warm up our bodies and voices before performing, how to move on stage, how to read stage directions, and how to work together to tell a cohesive story. Theater is a fun way to learn more about cooperation, listening to direction, impulse control, focus, public speaking, and confidence. Over the course of each semester we'll prepare a short play to perform for friends and family at our Fall and Spring family nights. The supply fee covers scripts and some performance supplies but families will be expected to help supply costumes and some props. We'll make every effort to keep these simple and easy to find or make.
