In this class, we will delve into a good book and have the sort of discussions that make the story more relatable to the reader. The class will include hands-on activities and games. Students will gain a new appreciation for reading as they connect the stories to their lives. Students will be responsible for reading the selected chapters at home and come to class ready to talk about them. Any media form is acceptable: E Readers, Audio and print.
3rd-7th Grade - This class will read books at a upper elementary/middle school level. We will start the year by reading Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.
