Hand Sewing
1st-4th
Grades
Hand sewing is a fun and practical skill for children to learn. In this class, we will learn basic stitches and sewing techniques while making lots of fun projects. We will use cross-stitch skills to make miniature treasure boxes, create a rag doll family, learn to applique fun designs on clothing, and so much more! The projects we make will include useful items, fun toys and trinkets, and adorable handmade gifts your student can share with friends and family. This class will provide students with a basic understanding of sewing skills such as pinning fabric, cutting out pattern pieces, stuffing a project with batting, etc, for a seamless (pun intended!) transition to using a sewing machine for projects in the future.
