Calling all LEGO-maniacs! Each week students will have fun as they work to complete a LEGO contraption, creation, or challenge. Some weeks students will be given instructions on how to construct a specific object or contraption designed to help develop engineering and building skills. Other weeks, students will be challenged to create their own builds based on a theme or idea. The students will be given a general description of what they need to complete, but it will be up to them to add their own imaginative touches to their creations. This class will also be working on some special LEGO projects like movie making using stop-motion animation, coding, and robotics. In addition to working on their designing, building, and problem-solving abilities, students will develop other important skills such as critical thinking, communication, conflict resolution, collaboration, and following directions. LEGOs (so many LEGOs!) are provided for students to use in class.
* Please note- If your child has previously taken one of my LEGO classes, new construction skills, contraptions, challenges, and LEGO-based projects will be added this year to keep it interesting and exciting for returning and new students alike!
